The decor reflects an eclectic range of furnishings, paintings and objects that have been collected after many years of travelling the world by the villa’s owners.
The villa’s entrance leads to a grand drawing room that is impeccably decorated with fabrics from France and Spain, furniture from England and Ireland and many pieces from Asia. The dining room can accommodates up to 14 people seated or more guests for a stand up buffet. The kitchen features every modern appliance that you desire. There is also a shady seating area in a central courtyard, a typical feature of Maltese architecture. From the rooftop terrace you can enjoy the panoramic views of Malta, the capital Valletta, and the iconic Grand Harbor. Another bonus is a rooftop pool and lounge area.
The surrounding area is a friendly, local Maltese neighborhood. There are a number of stores for essentials and every Tuesday there is a large outdoor market for fresh fish, fruit and vegetables and household goods.
Malta was Europe’s Capital of Culture in 2018 which attracted investment into the area for the refurbishment of many public buildings and the historic centers. A few minutes walk from the villa will take you to The Grand Harbor, an area with marinas where multi million dollar yachts are docked. Along the water, there are many outdoor restaurants for breezy lunches and balmy dinners by the sea. A ferry will take you to the heart of the capital, Valletta in a few minutes.
There are many churches in the area (Malta has a Church for every day of the year) and the area is peppered with local tourist sites including the Malta at War Museum and the world famous Inquisitors Palace.
