Located in Monforte d’Alba in the heart of the Langhe, the villa has been renovated in a minimal, but luxe, style. Formerly a rectory, valuable details were preserved to maintain the authentic spirit of the Langhe. The décor blends vintage elements with original characteristics of the house. The kitchen’s lighting and seating are of vintage design, the furniture is custom designed and constructed from antique wood and the floors are original cement tiles. The mezzanine has a reading and music area complete with a plush sofa for watching TV or reading.
The outdoor terrace offers wonderful views of the Alps and the Langhe Hills which have received UNESCO World Heritage designation. After a day of wine tasting in the area or dining at the numerous Michelin-starred restaurants nearby, you can enjoy a Turkish bath or sauna. At the villa, your meals can be prepared and a bartender can prepare your cocktails to be enjoyed on the terrace. Cooking classes and private wine tastings can be arranged on the premises. The wine cellar that is stocked with fine labels and old vintages.
Montforte d’Alba is a charming hilltop town where you can wander around the main square and stroll through the streets lined with stone buildings. The views from the upper part of the village open up to captivating scenery that surrounds you. For as far as you can see, the landscape is covered in grape vines with the Alps in the distance. Wine lovers flock to this area to enjoy Italy’s most age-worthy wines and fine foods especially white truffles in autumn.
Monforte d’Alba is well positioned with access to Barolo, La Morra, Cherasco, Bra, Dogliani, Diano D’Alba and Alba, the region’s capital. Turin is reachable in about an hour and even less to the coast and the French border.
Parking is located 3 minutes away from the house; unloading and loading is permitted for check-in/out. Minimum stay 5 nights.
