Located on the outskirts of Florence in Chianti Hills, this ancient villa has a cooking studio on the premises, olive groves and a vineyard
Located in the Chianti Hills and only 12 kilometers (8 miles) from Florence, Villa La Quercia is an ancient villa built entirely from terracotta and stones in the 17th century. Villa La Quercia is located in the Tuscan Chianti countryside, surrounded by 20 acres of land, which is cultivated with vines and olive trees.
As you approach the villa, an inviting covered patio with dining table and a living area with bamboo furniture awaits. In the back of the villa another open-air dining area with a round stone table is positioned in front of a swimming pool surrounded by laurel and cypress hedges. Al fresco dining can be enjoyed during every meal.
On the ground floor, there is a dining room, a double living room with fireplace, a typical fully equipped Tuscan kitchen, and a King bedroom with a dressing room. There is a bathroom with independent entrance.
On the first floor, there are three Queen en suite bedrooms (each can be made into twin bedrooms), and a closet room for you to tuck away your luggage.
Your stay at the villa is designed for your comfort. You may have a candlelit dinner with butler service or lunch at the villa Italian lessons, private chauffeur, babysitting service, car service from the villa to Impruneta, the nearest town that is 5 minutes away by car or 25 minutes away by foot. The villa can be stocked with essentials for you to prepare your breakfast and you can easily walk to the local town to shop for additional necessities. If cooking is your penchant, the villa has a cooking studio that offers a hands-on morning or afternoon cooking class, market tour in Florence followed by the lunch or dinner wine tour, and cheese tasting. Note: classes are open to guests and non-guests and lessons can be booked privately. The cooking studio is a cottage that was used by the abstract painter, Francesco Clemente, as his painting studio. It is still possible to admire a small collection of his paintings that feature the Tuscan countryside.
