Commanding one of the estate’s most prominent hilltops, Vemignano offers unobstructed views in every direction, from Mensano to San Gimignano and beyond. The residential compound of three restored buildings and grounds command an expansive grassy plateau above olive orchards that completely surround the property.
This spacious farmhouse comfortably accommodates large groups and features a main residence and two guest residences. In the main residence, guests find plenty of space to gather in the central living and dining rooms, which feature magnificent hardwood doors that open to the pergola for al fresco dining. Next to the pergola, enjoy the use of the original forno to create a warm, traditional dining experience.
The most dazzling features on the estate are the infinity pool overlooking the property’s surrounding olive orchards and the bathrooms in the guest residences—the most dramatic on the entire estate. With its location upon a grassy plateau, this Tuscan farmhouse offers astonishing architecture and scenic views at every turn.
History
The estate’s rich history dates back to the end of the 10th century, when it was built and christened Querceto Manor. Querceto Manor often hosted the political exiles of nearby Siena until it fell into decline starting in the 15th century. Timbers Resorts acquired the estate in 2005 and immediately began a significant and authentic restoration of all of the buildings, including the historic estate. The restoration has made use of traditional construction methods and authentic materials found on the estate and throughout the region, while spaces were updated with modern conveniences and luxuries. Here you can enjoy privacy on this 4,200-acre estate with amenities of the resort.
