Surrounded by forest and quietly tucked away at the edge of a vineyard, Escaiole is a luxurious Tuscan retreat. Drive along a country lane for a quarter-mile and you will come upon this thoughtfully and fully restored Tuscan residence which has maintained its authentic countryside features – from the raw brick-laden arches, the exposed walls hemmed with rocks and stones and wooden ceiling beams, Italian marble and ceramics, and a fine selection of antique furniture to complement the overall style and design.
This rustic Tuscan farmhouse features a selection of living and dining areas furnished with Tuscan antiques, Italian marble and ceramics, and a large fireplace. Gather in unique spaces and relax in the infinity pool or pergola-covered dining area
The epitome of elegance, Escaiole offers a true respite from daily life and the chance to relax among the rolling hills of Tuscany.
History
The estate’s rich history dates back to the end of the 10th century when it was built and christened Querceto Manor. Querceto Manor often hosted the political exiles of nearby Siena until it fell into decline starting in the 15th century. Timbers Resorts acquired the estate in 2005 and immediately began a significant and authentic restoration of all of the buildings, including the historic estate. The restoration has made use of traditional construction methods and authentic materials found on the estate and throughout the region, while spaces were updated with modern conveniences and luxuries. Here you can enjoy privacy on this 4,200-acre estate with amenities of the resort.
