Casale San Giovanni is surrounded by 26 acres of vineyards and seven acres of olive groves. The sprawling residence is home to a restored, centuries-old agricultural estate with sweeping views over the Tuscan hillsides and hilltop town of Casole d’Elsa.
Two farmhouses are located on the property, including the main residence and guest residence, totaling 7,450 square feet. With touches of modern design and exposed brick and stone, this stunning space is fitting for special events, family reunions or large groups. A central courtyard featuring a pergola, infinity pool, fire pit and bocce court draws guests outside any time of the day for al fresco dining, sunning and relaxation.
San Giovanni captures the essence of all that is Tuscany and is truly one of the most idyllic settings on the entire estate.
History
The estate’s rich history dates back to the end of the 10th century, when it was built and christened Querceto Manor. Querceto Manor often hosted the political exiles of nearby Siena until it fell into decline starting in the 15th century. Timbers Resorts acquired the estate in 2005 and immediately began a significant and authentic restoration of all of the buildings, including the historic estate. The restoration has made use of traditional construction methods and authentic materials found on the estate and throughout the region, while spaces were updated with modern conveniences and luxuries. Here you can enjoy privacy on this 4,200-acre estate with amenities of the resort.
