San Damiano is a contemporary reconstruction of the classic Tuscan farmhouse, centrally located on the estate. With striking panoramas, Casale San Damiano has superb views of the hill town of Casole d’Elsa. The main residence is warm and inviting with cozy areas to sit and the large fireplace is the showpiece of the den. The sizable kitchen is bathed in natural light and opens to the outdoor pergola with forno oven and al fresco dining. Surrounded by pristine forest and fields of mustard, the infinity pool and spa captures the quintessential Tuscan vista and is the centerpiece of the outdoor courtyard with terraces and relaxation areas. Private trails for hiking and biking weave through the forest in front of the villa. The woods behind Casale San Damiano and the protected land that surrounds the villa is vibrant with wildlife.
Friends or families will enjoy the private, yet open, spaces in this artful farmhouse. An airy kitchen and dining area connect to the outdoor terrace overlooking the pool. Enjoy al fresco dining, gather around the fire pit or take in views of the Tuscan countryside from the hot tub and infinity pool. An annex with a master suite offers extra space for additional guests.
History
The estate’s rich history dates back to the end of the 10th century, when it was built and christened Querceto Manor. Querceto Manor often hosted the political exiles of nearby Siena until it fell into decline starting in the 15th century. Timbers Resorts acquired the estate in 2005 and immediately began a significant and authentic restoration of all of the buildings, including the historic estate. The restoration has made use of traditional construction methods and authentic materials found on the estate and throughout the region, while spaces were updated with modern conveniences and luxuries. Here you can enjoy privacy on this 4,200-acre estate with amenities of the resort.
