As you enter from a spiral cobblestone staircase, you will be transported into an intimate world. The apartment has a grand entrance, music room, a studio lounge, two well-appointed bedrooms with artwork and frescoes on the ceilings, a dressing room, library, fireplaces, a lounge bar for relaxation, kitchen and dining room.
Layout
Bedroom
Enveloped in a deep velvet and woven fabric wallpaper, the space exudes a sense of intimacy. The highlight is a three meter piece of artwork portraying a chain of delicate porcelain flowers. An antique marble fireplace adds warmth to the room’s atmosphere.
Bathroom
Lined by contrasting travertine stone, a lit niche accommodates an antique marble sculpture.
Library
Inside one can admire the fresco representing the Pamphili family. The room has a library, fireplace and a sitting bench.
Lounge/Bar
Positioned between the kitchen and master bedroom, the lounge is well-suited as a place of relaxation. It was inspired by the Roman ”Triclinium,” a room designed to eat while lying down. There is a TC and a built-in bar in the room.
Kitchen/Dining Room
The kitchen has a full wall of custom shelving decorated with a gold backdrop housing unique objects. The island is made of marble from the Amazon, a reference to the not yet discovered river missing from Bernini’s Four Rivers Fountain in the piazza below.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom was created for Pope Innocent X. The ceilings are 8 meters high (approximately 26 feet) and covered with a spectacular detailed fresco, Allegrini, depicting the story of Dido. The headboard is covered in a traditional Florentine pattern that was hand made on an antique loom.
Master Bath
Clad with travertine and brass and lit by custom fixtures, the bathroom has a jacuzzi surrounded by a golden mosaic evoking the spirit of a Roman bath.
