Located on the other side of the Arno river in the San Niccolò area, the oldest district of Florence and among one of the historical areas most beloved by the Florentines, Casa Bardini is a charming residence with a fantastic garden that is ideal for events, specifically small, intimate weddings.
Casa Bardini is a historical palace that has been completely renovated and enlarged. It includes an ancient monestary which dates back to the 16th century. When you enter, there is a large lounge and the decor is ”vintage shabby chic.” The furniture is all vintage with the exception of the kitchens which are contemporary. The floor tiles have been taken from other ancient buildings.
There are three bedrooms on the first floor, including a bedroom to accommodate handicapped guests. There are also several bedrooms that can be connected to accommodate six or more. Some bedrooms face the lovely interior garden.
The neighborhood is one of the trendiest in Florence. Here, you will find unconventional and exclusive artisans such as the self-taught goldsmith, Alessandro Dari, the perfume maker, Sileno Cheloni and the luxury show maker, Stefano Bemer, who opened his workship in a desecrated church. The neighborhood has numerous restaurants, excellent shops and cafes.
If you are seeking an event space in the center of the city, this is an ideal venue that can host about 50-60 guests. The villa also attracts arty and creative types. Art classes are regularly held in the private lounge or garden.
